OpenAIÂ dilaporkan berencana untuk merilis model kecerdasan buatan (AI) generasi berikutnya sebelum akhir tahun. Berdasarkan laporan, model AI ini akan jauh lebih bertenaga dan mumpuni dibandingkan model AI GPT-4.
Model bahasa besar (LLM) pengganti GPT-4 ini dilaporkan secara internal disebut sebagai Orion dan rencananya akan dirilis pada Desember 2024. Orion dikatakan tidak akan langsung dirilis ke domain publik melainkan dapat diakses terlebih dahulu oleh perusahaan yang bekerja sama dengan OpenAI, demikian dilaporkan The Verge.
Model AI Generasi Berikutnya OpenAI
Meskipun OpenAI telah merilis model AI GPT-4 Turbo dan GPT-4o setelah rilis GPT-4, keduanya bukanlah model AI baru. Keduanya hanyalah versi LLM yang ditingkatkan dan disesuaikan, yang dibangun di atas dasar arsitektur GPT-4. Versi berikutnya dari model AI-nya, yang disebut GPT-5, diharapkan mencakup arsitektur dan kemampuan baru.
Sesuai laporan, model AI Orion dengan kode nama tersebut tidak akan dirilis langsung ke publik, tidak seperti model AI sebelumnya yang dirilis oleh perusahaan. Sebaliknya, model AI tersebut kabarnya akan dibagikan kepada perusahaan-perusahaan yang bekerja sama dengan OpenAI.
