“Kami meluncurkan kampanye #SalingJaga yang mendorong pengguna untuk secara aktif menciptakan ruang digital yang aman dan bisa menyaring informasi yang dikonsumsi oleh pengguna kami,” kata Public Policy & Government Relations TikTok Indonesia, Faris Mufid, di Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (16/10/2024).
Selain itu, TikTok menghadirkan panduan komunitas untuk menjadi pedoman pengguna dalam melakukan moderasi konten. Hal ini terkait konten yang berkaitan dengan pemilu dan juga politik agar platform tetap aman dan jauh dari berita bohong atau ujaran kebencian.
Kemenkominfo mendukung penuh upaya TikTok Indonesia untuk melawan misinformasi di ruang digital pada periode Pilkada 2024. Itu lantaran informasi yang salah bergerak lebih cepat daripada yang benar. Hal ini bisa memicu perpecahan.
“Dampaknya bisa lebih cepat dan sulit dikendalikan, karena sekali informasi itu di-share, maka itu bisa menyebar tanpa batas, tanpa kenal waktu, dan kerusakannya sungguh sangat sulit untuk diperbaiki. Dalam hal ini, false belief dan dorongan emosional sering menjadi pemicu utama,” ungkap Direktur Jenderal Aplikasi dan Informatika (Ditjen Aptika) Kominfo, Hokky Situngkir, dalam kesempatan yang sama.
